PATHWAYS' GIVING CIRCLES

Pathways Giving Circle — be in it!

A Pathways Giving Circle is a community in itself. Members build meaningful relationships within their group and discover Jewish philanthropy at the same time. Join an existing Pathways Giving Circle or create your own with your friends and family. Contact us to find out how!

ABOUT PATHWAYS

Our mission is to support and empower people from Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox Jewish communities who are questioning their lifestyle, practices and beliefs, no matter where they are on their journey.

We wish to see a world where all people can make their own decisions about who they want to be, within a safe and supported life journey.

Pathways does not aim to sway anyone away from orthodoxy or religious affiliation, but rather to support individuals in their efforts to choose their own direction.

WHAT IS A GIVING CIRCLE?

Giving Circles are grassroots philanthropy groups, that draw together people with a common desire to do good in a particular area (eg. Jewish community). Anyone can join them and make an impact at any stage of their lives. You don’t need to have amassed a huge fortune to make a significant contribution towards positive social change.

The beauty of Giving Circles is that each member puts in an amount they are comfortable with, which on its own would have a lesser impact. However, once the amounts are pooled and given collectively, the amount and its impact, is magnified significantly.

WHY JOIN A PATHWAYS GIVING CIRCLE?

Pathways' Giving Circle Members invest in and empower Jewish people in need through Pathways Melbourne's tailored programs and services. Members also gain a unique insight into the complex issues and challenges faced by the ‘Pathfinder’ community members they are supporting.

HOW IT WORKS

Once you have joined a Pathways Giving Circle, Members will be asked to nominate the amount they are happy to contribute, with a minimum starting point of $540 per year, for 3 years.

Each Pathways Giving Circle then comes together to receive detailed information about the various programs and services that Pathways Melbourne offers and have any questions answered. Members then decide together which programs and services they would like to give to with their combined donation pool.

WHAT MEMBERS RECEIVE

  • Bi-annual Reports, so they can trace the impact that their Giving Circle is making

  • Invitations and complimentary tickets to two Pathways’ social and community events, featuring relevant international and local guest speakers

Members also meet twice yearly to discuss the impact of their social investments and hear of personal stories.

Pathways Melbourne activities take place on the land of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects to their elders, past, present and future.
